What We Believe

God

1. We believe in the God revealed in Scripture, who is the Creator of heaven and earth. We

believe in the triune nature of God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – united in one essence. In

accordance with Scripture, we acknowledge God's eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-

knowing, and omnipresent attributes. We believe the foundational truths of God's love, mercy,

and justice is integral to our faith.

The Bible

2. We affirm the Holy Scripture, comprising of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, as

our absolute and final authority in matters of faith and practice. We acknowledge the Bible as the

divinely inspired word of God where God has revealed himself to mankind through the

inspiration of the Holy Spirit working through human authors. We believe that the Bible is

without error in its original writings.

Jesus Christ

4. We affirm Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God, the Incarnate Word, conceived miraculously

by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He is both truly God and truly man, united in one person.

We believe in His sinless life, and His voluntary sacrifice on the cross, and accomplishing

salvation for all who place their trust in Him. We affirm His bodily resurrection from the grave,

ascension to heaven, and is seating at the right hand of God the Father, possessing all authority in

heaven and on earth. We believe Him to be the sole mediator between God and mankind, and

apart from Him there is no salvation. We believe in the literal return of Jesus to the earth at the

end of this age. He will come to bring salvation to His own people, and judgment to His

adversaries.

The Holy Spirit

5. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of

its sins, and that He works in the minds and hearts of individuals through the proclamation of the

Gospel and the teaching of the Scriptures. We believe He indwells every believer, as well as

equipping, illuminating and guiding all Christ followers to live a Godly life.

The Human Condition

6. We believe God created Adam and Eve in His image, but through their disobedience brough

both sin and death into the world. This condition alienates us from God, subjecting us to divine

condemnation and lost without the grace of God. We believe that a person must place their faith

in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, for the remission of their sins.

Salvation

7. We believe in salvation as a complete work of God's grace, through Jesus Christ, our

representative and substitute, and His atoning death on the cross and triumphant resurrection. His

shed blood stands as the perfect and all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. Therefore we believe

justification comes by faith, apart from the works of the Law.

Christian Living

8. We believe the redeemed, marked by true faith in Christ, are born again and will live a new

life of faithfulness. We believe that the redeemed are empowered by God’s Word, and the Spirit

strengthens a new desire and ability to adhere to the commands of Jesus. We believe that as

God’s people we are to be in obedience to the Great Commission, and actively pursue

discipleship among all people, consistently bearing witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Church

9. We believe Jesus Christ established His church on earth consisting of all persons who are

joined to Him through saving faith. We believe God’s people must assemble together regularly

for worship, partaking of the Lord’s Supper, edification from the Scriptures and for mutual

support and encouragement. We believe God intends for His church to be united through a

common faith in Jesus and common commitment to live under the authority of God’s revealed

Word.

Eternal Destiny

10. We believe that those who die in faith enter into God’s presence, experiencing everlasting

fellowship with our Lord and all the redeemed. Those who die in unbelief are forever separated from the Lord.
